Making a difference
We take the impact we have on people, communities, and society seriously—and we take it personally.
On the matter, and part of the team. Learning by doing, building confidence early, helping shape defining moments together.
Everything we do makes our people proud to be part of Winston Taylor. We’re constantly challenging ourselves and each other to do more and do better.

Opportunity and inclusion
We foster a collaborative culture where individuals of all identities, backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences can thrive. By broadening access to opportunity and investing in inclusion, we strengthen our firm and deliver exceptional service to our clients and colleagues.

Pro bono
We do work we believe in. Getting behind and investing in causes and initiatives that have a real impact on our communities and society. With a full-time pro bono counsel and opportunities for every lawyer to contribute their time and experience, we show up for what we care about.

In our communities
We don’t sit on the sidelines. We’re deep in our communities, doing what we can to make a difference with our people, clients, and connections. Fueling ambition in local schools. Standing with vulnerable people. Supporting initiatives that make our communities what they are. We’re not just here. We’re invested.

Climate and sustainability
We take responsibility for our environmental impact. It’s built into every day and every office. Across the globe, our buildings meet recognized LEED and BREEAM standards, and we’re on a structured path to net zero. It doesn’t stop at our own footprint: We invest in collective climate action and use our legal expertise to support those at the forefront of the climate transition.
Our relationships
We build long-term relationships with charities and community organizations that champion inclusion and the arts.

National Portrait Gallery
We began our relationship with the National Portrait Gallery in 2005 when, as Taylor Wessing, we sponsored The World's Most Photographed, an exhibition created by the NPG jointly with the BBC to showcase the most photographed personalities in the world.
In 2008, we launched the Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize, one of the most prestigious international photography awards, which showcases new work submitted by some of the most exciting contemporary photographers. This prize is now known as the Winston Taylor Photo Portrait Prize, with 2026 marking the 19th year we’ve partnered with the National Portrait Gallery to celebrate talented artists.
Roundhouse
The Roundhouse is an iconic live performance venue and a “hub” of inspiration and creativity. But the venue you know is only half the story. The Roundhouse is a charity that supports thousands of young people every year. Below the main venue lies a space for diverse young people aged 11–30 to conceptualize, collaborate, and create. This includes musicians, poets, performers, and film and radio makers.
Uptree
We work with Uptree to support their mission of increasing access to professional careers for students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. We run insight days and mentoring programs, including CV writing workshops, mock interviews, and building your brand workshops.
London LGBTQ+ Centre
We're proud to be a sponsor and supporter of the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre at 60–62 Hopton Street. The Centre initially came about as a pop-up in response to the severe isolation and loneliness the LGBTQ+ community felt during the COVID-19 lockdown, and they aim to provide some comfort and solace for LGBTQ+ Londoners and their friends and allies.
Evolving Mindset
Evolving Mindset is our local Liverpool office charity, selected by the office in 2023. It's an award-winning, non-profit mental health organization established in 2019 to promote positive mental health in our communities. They deliver regulated and bespoke mental health training packages within organizations, schools, and the community sector.
Collaborations
Each academic year, we work with a range of diverse university societies and student organizations to connect with talented students from all backgrounds.
These partnerships support our commitment to inclusion by helping us reach a wider audience, raise awareness of careers in law, and ensure our opportunities are accessible to all.

MyPlus
We have an open dialogue around disabilities from the start; whether that involves addressing concerns related to our recruitment process or working environment. In partnership with MyPlus Consulting, we embed disability confidence throughout our student recruitment strategy, from attracting candidates through to assessment and onboarding.
Through our engagement with the MyPlus Students' Club, we promote opportunities to students with disabilities, long-term health conditions, and neurodiversity, particularly at our events and Open Days aimed at underrepresented groups.
myGwork
We've partnered with myGwork, the largest global business community of LGBTQ+ professionals, graduates, inclusive employers, and allies who champion workplace equality. It empowers the LGBTQ+ community by providing a safe space where members can:
[] connect with inclusive employers
[] discover jobs
[] access mentors
[] attend professional events
[] participate in training
[] stay informed with relevant news.
We also participate in WorkFair, the largest virtual career fair for the LGBTQ+ community. We regularly contribute to blogs and webinars and promote our opportunities on the myGwork jobs board to further establish Winston Taylor as an LGBTQ+ friendly employer.
Rare
Not every candidate’s achievements look the same on paper. That’s why we use Rare Recruitment's Contextual Recruitment System (CRS) to consider every student's achievements in context, helping to identify those with the greatest potential, from all backgrounds.
University sponsorships
Each academic year, we work with a range of diverse university societies and student organisations to connect with talented students from all backgrounds. These partnerships support our commitment to inclusion by helping us reach a wider audience, raise awareness of careers in law and ensure our opportunities are accessible to all.
